ExploraVision runs a futuristic technology contest, they want students to propose what technology will look like in 20 years. Students have to enter as a team of 2-4 students, with a teacher/coach or mentor. No individual entries. Students can’t be older than 21 years of age. All entries must be submitted by February 8, 2019.
There are four categories in the contest: Grades K-3, Grades 4-6, Grades 7-9, and Grades 10-12. Judges will be fair and all grades will be evaluated separately “based on the abilities of students in those grades.” All students in the first-place team will win $10,000 in U.S. Savings bonds. Students in the second-placed team will win $5,000 in U.S. Savings bonds.
National finalists will win a trip to Washington D.C. for the ExploraVision Awards Weekend. Regional winners will all get a technology or science gift. Honorable mentions will also get a unique prize and certificate. In addition the contest has rewards for teachers, coaches, and mentors.
